AUCTION HISTORY It's been 28 years since the first auction and things have changed over the years. Yet memories remain. The first one was a silent-oral auction with hors d`oeuvres and chaired by Doug and Karen Highberger. The Highberger's exceeded their goal. It evolved into a sit-down dinner five years later with Tom and Dorothy Bochsler and Roger and Betty Blades as chairs. The first raffle, introduced in 1990, was a cruise to Mexico and 1991 the first car raffle was held. “Fund-an-Item" was born in 1997 under the chairmanship of Jeff and Kim Koehnke. Each year our goals have been met if not exceeded. The auction started out as a formal event to raise money for the school and today it has become the social event of the year for both the school and community. We continue to be blessed with the support of parents, friends and businesses. |
